The Owls Head Transportation Museum presents a running history of transportation in many of its diverse forms: airplanes, automobiles, motorcycles, carriages and bicycles. The museum has over 114 vehicles, be they originals, replicas or reconstructions. This collection is spread over the different modes of transportation.
The majority of the Museum's vehicles date from the turn of the century to the middle of the 1900's. The diversity of material from this period is wide and the vehicles are, or are built from plans of vehicles, from all over the world.
The Museum also has a particularly noteworthy collection of rare experimental-style vehicles from various periods and from various modes of travel: cars, motorcycles, etc.
